Fall-winter trends 2021/2022
Trends? We know everything about them! Goodbye leggings, hoodies and oversized T-shirts! Great fashion is back in great style! We’re expecting a real explosion of trends this fall and winter. Sequins, knits, and colors that make your head spin are coming to the forefront. Get ready for a quick overview of what is about to win our hearts (and our wardrobes).
Animal prints
Every time we think they’ve gone out of fashion for good, they bounce back twice as fierce, and we fall into an even greater frenzy when we see them. And this is exactly the case this season. When out on a shopping spree, look for leopard spots, zebra stripes, and cow patterns. We will wear them from head to toe as a total look or in a more conservative version – as a single, strong element (for example on the shoes or purse). While browsing the internet, take a look at collections by Dolce & Gabbana, Victoria Beckham, and Tom Ford, who has recently said: “The last thing I want to do is design boring clothes.” A long leopard-print coat (an absolute must-have for the coming fall and winter!) is definitely not boring. When you spot it in a store, hunt it down like a true tigress.

Sweater vests
Remember when your grandmother made you one when you were a kid and you were trying to come up with a way to avoid wearing it? Well, it’s time to dig it out of your attic and apologize. We’ll be seeing a great come back of woolen vests this season. You won’t get away from them if you want to be trendy. But instead of the “grandma” version from years ago, we will wear the ones like MaxMara, Louis Vuitton, or Etro – in modern shapes and featuring really cool patterns. Pair them with a woolen midi skirt and sexy boots.

Black & white? Always!
Black and white – a combination as old as the world. Timeless, elegant, and absolutely universal, it promises to be a real fashion hit. We can predict that it’ll quickly take over Polish streets – after all, almost all of us have something white and something black in our wardrobe. Now all you have to do to be trendy is just put them together. It’s best to get inspired by the Saint Laurent, Red Valentino, or Moschino fashion shows when doing it.
Chunky knits
The fall grayness will appear outside the window faster than we expect it, and according to designers, we can look cool even when watching Netflix or scrolling down Instagram (Obsessive of course). If the pandemic has taught us anything, it’s that comfort comes first. Chanel, Fendi, Etro, and Chloé took this to heart and introduced a lot of soft, skin-friendly fabrics to their collections. Ponchos like those from the Chloé collection and thick sweaters with braid weaves reminiscent of long dresses will be a hit. They’re perfect for lounging around the house, although we’d have nothing against appearing in them at a party.
Bold colors
Beiges are always a good choice, but let’s be honest – they’re conservative. This season we’re wearing bold, saturated colors that draw attention: canary yellow like in Versace, energetic navy blue like the one from the Louis Vuitton collection, fiery red straight from Dior... We spent months at home during lockdown and now it’s time to be noticed. Where? Everywhere!
Women’s suit
A corporate look? Yes, but in a power dressing version. We are inspired by the 80s and 90s. We opt for suits that look like they came from our boyfriend’s wardrobe. Simple, minimalistic, masculine ones. With wide pants and oversized blazers. They’ll look totally sexy when paired with some sexy heels! Just look at the pictures of Marlene Dietrich, a great movie star. It’s exactly what inspired Raf Simons, whose collection is dominated by this look.
Sequins and sparkle
Use your imagination to link the 1920s and the 1980s in your mind, just as Dolce & Gabbana, Balmain, Valentino, and DSquared have. This season we wear everything that shines from top to bottom, preferably in layers. Meaning? Put on a sequin bra, a small metallic jacket over it, and a pair of shiny pants with some sparkly boots for the bottom. Throw a futuristic coat made of shimmering fabric over your shoulders and add some glitter accessories. Too much? There’s no such term this season. After months of home office, we deserve a bit of (fashion) madness!
